Formed on March 28, 2015 by seven girls
Girls In Technology (GIT) was formed on March 28, 2015 with a team of seven girls. The organization exists to bring more girls into the ICT sector and to raise awareness about the vast scope of technology.
The main goal is focussed on bringing and producing the skillset required for girls and women that will help them come across their technology oriented career. GIT also works as a shared space where students, professionals and beginners meet, exchange ideas and grow their skills together.
Over the years the group has grown into an active community of members and technical leads who organise meetups, conferences, sessions and hackathons for women in technology.
